At Vilaav Homes, we believe the delivery of a handcrafted product is the final stage of craftsmanship — not just logistics. Every order is handled with the same care, respect, and precision that goes into making it. This policy details all delivery methods available, our process, your role as a customer, and the responsibilities we share to make delivery seamless, transparent, and safe.

1. Our Delivery Philosophy

1.1 Every Vilaav Homes product is delivered with the cost already included in the product price — ensuring full transparency and no hidden charges.
1.2 We work with specialized furniture logistics partners who understand the sensitivity of wooden, upholstered, and modular furniture.
1.3 Our goal is to ensure safe transit, smooth installation (if applicable), and a customer experience that matches the quality of our furniture.

2. Delivery Models We Offer

2.1 Standard Doorstep Delivery (Included in Product Price)

  • This is our default delivery method and included with every purchase.
  • Products are delivered up to the ground floor or main entrance of your address.
  • Includes safe unloading at your entry area.
  • Products are securely packed in multilayer protective packaging.
  • Delivery partners will contact you before arrival to confirm availability.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Standard delivery does not include unpacking, placement, or assembly.
  • If the delivery location lacks lift access, the team may request manual handling fees directly from the customer (as applicable).
  • For gated communities or restricted delivery windows, please inform us in advance to avoid rescheduling.

2.2 White Glove Delivery (Premium Add-On Service)

For customers who want full-service delivery, Vilaav Homes offers White Glove Delivery in select cities.
This includes:

  • Unpacking and placement of products inside your home.
  • Basic assembly or installation where required.
  • Cleanup and packaging material removal post-installation.
  • Pre-scheduling coordination for timing and floor access.

Benefits:

  • Professional assembly technicians handle setup
  • Zero physical effort or risk to you or your interiors.
  • Ideal for large furniture, modular wardrobes, beds, or dining sets.

Conditions:

  • Available only in serviceable pin codes.
  • Priced separately depending on location, floor level, and complexity.
  • Must be requested before dispatch — not after shipment.

2.3 Self-Pickup (By Prior Appointment Only)

Customers who wish to arrange their own logistics can choose self-pickup.

  • Available from our dispatch point in Jodhpur with prior appointment.
  • Vilaav Homes provides full packaging and loading support at origin.
  • Responsibility for safety during transit transfers to the customer upon pickup.

⚠️ Note: Once the goods leave our dispatch premises, Vilaav Homes is not liable for any damage or delay caused during transport arranged by the customer.

3. Delivery Coverage and Accessibility

3.1 Vilaav Homes delivers to most pin codes in India through professional furniture logistics networks.
3.2 For remote or non-serviceable areas, we will coordinate alternate delivery arrangements (nearest hub or partner delivery).
3.3 Customers are informed prior to dispatch if their location falls outside direct delivery coverage.
3.4 For buildings without elevator access, the customer must confirm staircase accessibility before dispatch to avoid complications.

4. Handling & Delivery Coordination

4.1 Our delivery team will contact you in advance to confirm availability and access.
4.2 If you cannot receive delivery at the scheduled time, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance for rescheduling.
4.3 If the team arrives and access is denied (locked building, no permission, etc.), re-delivery may be chargeable.
4.4 For multi-item orders, deliveries may arrive in multiple shipments based on production readiness.

5. Product Inspection on Delivery

5.1 Upon receiving the delivery, customers should inspect:

  • Packaging for visible damage or tampering.
  • Product surface and joints (if possible).
  • Number of packages delivered (cross-check against invoice).

5.2 If damage is visible:

  • Mention remarks on the delivery note.
  • Take photos/videos showing packaging and the damaged area.
  • Email evidence to hello@vilaavhomes.com within 24 hours of delivery.

5.3 Claims beyond 24 hours are not accepted due to courier verification limits.

6. Installation & Assembly

6.1 For most pre-assembled furniture (chairs, tables, cabinets), no assembly is required.
6.2 For modular or complex furniture:

  • Basic assembly is included only if specified in the order details.
  • Advanced assembly (wardrobes, beds, multi-part units) may require professional setup at extra cost.
  • Our White Glove delivery covers this completely if opted.

6.3 Assembly responsibility remains with the customer unless stated otherwise in the order confirmation.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers play a vital role in ensuring smooth delivery. Please:

  • Provide complete and accurate delivery details (address, contact, landmarks).
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the product during delivery.
  • Confirm doorway width, staircase dimensions, and lift access for large items.
  • Notify Vilaav Homes about delivery restrictions (timing limits, permits, gate passes).
  • Keep your phone accessible on the day of delivery for coordination.

If a product cannot be delivered inside due to inaccessibility (narrow door, tight staircase, etc.), the delivery will be completed at the nearest accessible point.

8. Failed Deliveries & Reattempts

8.1 If the customer is unavailable, our logistics partner will attempt delivery twice.
8.2 After two failed attempts, the product may return to the nearest hub or warehouse.
8.3 Re-delivery can be scheduled after payment of applicable re-shipment charges.

9. Ownership & Risk Transfer

Ownership and risk transfer occur once:

  • The product has been successfully delivered, and
  • The delivery has been acknowledged by the customer or authorized recipient (via signature or digital confirmation).

After this point, Vilaav Homes is not responsible for damages due to mishandling, relocation, or environmental exposure.

10. Damages, Delays & Force Majeure

10.1 Vilaav Homes is not liable for delivery delays caused by:

  • Strikes, transport blockages, or natural disasters.
  • Acts of government or restrictions beyond our control.

10.2 In such cases, our team will update you with revised timelines.

10.3 Any claim for product damage must adhere to the 24-hour reporting rule.

11. Service Limitations

11.1 Vilaav Homes currently delivers only within India.
11.2 For international shipping requests, feasibility can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
11.3 Services such as express delivery, storage, or post-delivery relocation are available selectively and subject to prior agreement.
